Dates have now been set for the three Area lunches which take place in December. They are as follow:
Take a bow, all BOSPEN (Glasgow & District) members!
The stage is set – throughout the month of October we will be going to three theatre events. There has been a wonderful response to the flyers, and one hundred and sixty-nine people will be attending theses social outings!
On behalf of your committee, a huge thanks for your continued support.
As predicted, this event sold out very quickly, with the full allocation of one hundred and twenty tickets being snapped up for the show at the Royal Concert Hall on 16th December.
Consequently, applications are now closed.
Once again, this has proven to be our most popular theatre event. Thanks for your support.
It had to happen! It rained!
But we still had a lovely trip and afternoon tea at the Crossbasket Hotel in Blantyre.
Details have been circulated and reservations invited for the fastest-selling event on our calendar. You have been warned.
Applications should be submitted in the normal manner.
If you were thinking about applying for tickets to the matinee performance of Summer Holiday on 31st October, well I’m sorry – you’ve missed the bus, so to speak. All sixty tickets have now been sold.
Thanks again for your support.
The Walking Group marked its 10th Anniversary on 17th July with a lunch at Cafe Source, St. Andrews-in-the-Square, Glasgow.
To work up an appetite, the group walked the three miles Calton Heritage Trail.
Organised and led by Carrick McDonald, who provided loads of interesting information along the way, the trail started outside the old Bank of Scotland, Glasgow Cross branch.
The twenty-four walkers then visited the Saracen Head, the old Meat and Cattle market, the Weavers Martyr’s Memorial, the Whistlin’ Kirk and many other points of historic interest, completing the trail in good time for lunch.
