‘CURTAINS.’ A Musical Whodunnit.

Let me take you back to your school days.

Do you remember your English classes and what certain words and phrases were? Remember the word alliteration which was defined as “demonstrates a literary device in which a series of words begin with the same consonant sound?”

Well, how is this as an example – Murder, Mystery, Musical. An unusual collection unless you apply it to the latest Theatre Production for which we have just booked tickets.

Yes, you’re right – a Musical Whodunnit.

Curtains 2

Curtains‘ had its world premiere on July 25, 2006 at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. Local reviews were mixed but not discouraging, and the producers decided to transfer the show to Broadway with minor alterations

This hilarious whodunnit is packed full of catchy songs, unforgettable characters and plot twists galore! From the creators of Cabaret and Chicago, this Tony award winning backstage murder mystery musical will have audiences laughing and guessing right to the final curtain.

The musical is a send-up of backstage murder mystery plots, set in 1959 Boston, Massachusetts and follows the fallout when Jessica Cranshaw, the supremely untalented star of ‘Robbin’ Hood of the Old West’ is murdered during her opening night curtain call. It is up to Lt. Frank Cioffi, a police detective who moonlights as a musical theatre fan to save the show, solve the case, and maybe even find love before the show reopens, without getting killed himself.

The cast includes Jason Manford (Comedian), Carley Stenson (Musical Theatre Actress) and Ore Oduba (TV Presenter and Strictly Winner)

We have reserved 60 stalls tickets for the 2:30pm matinee performance on 11th March 2020, at a cost of £22 each. Closing dates for applications is 1st November.

Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope for the return of the tickets. As intimated in a separate message, the Bank, as an additional security measure, now requires that the payee’s name be spelt out in full rather than contracted. This is beyond our control and may require us to return your cheque/application if ignored.

APPLICATIONS FOR THIS OUTING SHOULD BE MADE IN THE NORMAL MANNER, BY RESPONDING TO THE MAILINGS THAT WERE SENT OUT THIS WEEK.
