GYPSY

We have booked our annual trip to Pitlochry to see the musical Gypsy on Thursday 14th September 2pm performance. This is always popular and the 50 seats will be quickly snapped up so get your applications in when the flyer comes out.

This has some iconic songs like Some People, Let Me Entertain You ( not Robbie Williams!) and Everything’s Coming Up Roses.

Pretty Woman

The musical, based on the film (remember Richard Gere and Julia Roberts), is coming to the Theatre Royal in November. We have booked 50 tickets for the Thursday 23rd November matinee performance. The invitation flyer will be sent out in due course.

Obituaries

For those who are not aware, names of former colleagues who have passed away are available on the Lloyds Bank pension site.

To access , go to lloydsbankinggrouppensions.com. From the drop down menu pick HBOS Final Salary Pension Scheme. Click on Pensioner and View the site. In the headings click on Library and then Obituaries.

It is run about six months behind and does not differentiate between Halifax and BOS names.

Wish You Were Dead

Don’t worry, that’s not aimed at anyone! It’s the title of a new play we have booked at The Theatre Royal on 30th March 2023.

It is by Peter James and has his detective Superintendant Roy Grace.

An all star cast includes George Rainsford, who returns to the stage after eight years as Ethan Hardy in BBC One’s Casualty, Clive Mantle, much loved for many roles including Casualty, Game of Thrones and the iconic ‘puddle’ scene in Vicar of Dibleyand the multi talented actress, novelist, podcaster and winner of I’m A Celebrity, Giovanna Fletcher.
